mTw and chemistry open DEL season 3

Third season of Danish Esports League will kick off tonight with defending champions mTw taking on chemistry in the opening match.

One and a half month break from DEL will be broken tonight as DEL opens the doors to the third season. The Danish silly-season seems to be over for now. Many of the teams made player rotations after SLAP LIVE #14. Especially Spirit of Amiga seemed to have found the fitting lineup for the team. That however escalated after SLAP, as two went out, one went in and the team will be playing with stand-in for now. Spirit of Amiga is however not attending the third season of DEL. The team dropped out of midway in the second season, due to a too tight schedule.

Who’s up for the task to tip mTw off the throne? There’s a few exciting teams to follow during this third season, besides the defending champions from mTw.

DEL will continue playing best of three matches, which should bring a lot more interesting matches for you guys. There are a total of 5 play-days, starting today stretching far into the month of May; we will be seeing these six teams compete to reach the LAN finals.

The LAN finals will be played at Gaming-School in Copenhagen. The top2 teams of the season will be invited to the LAN finals, where the two will be fighting to determine who will grab the trophy for this third season.

This third season is generously supported by SteelSeries. SteelSeries is one of the main reasons why the total prize purse has been double from last year. Furthermore, as a new addition this season, the teams completing the season without any forfeits or rescheduling of matches will receive a bonus of 1.000 DKK ($210).
